Acquapendente is a city and comune in the province of Viterbo, in Lazio (Italy). Acquapendente is a centre for the agricultural production of vegetables and wine, and has a tradition of pottery craftsmanship. Its frazione of Torre Alfina is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia.
As you wander through the narrow streets and alleys of Acquapendente, you'll be transported back in time with its medieval architecture and historic landmarks. One of the most notable sites is the Basilica di San Sepolcro, a beautiful Romanesque church that dates back to the 12th century. The church is home to stunning frescoes and a crypt that contains the remains of early Christian martyrs.
Another must-see attraction is the Palazzo Comunale, a grand palace that now serves as the town hall. Its impressive facade and elegant interior are a testament to the town's rich history and culture. For art lovers, the Museo Civico contains an impressive collection of paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
