Umbertide is a town and comune (municipality) in the province of Perugia, in the Italian region of Umbria, at the confluence of the Reggia river and the Tiber.
As you wander through the town's narrow cobblestone streets, you'll be transported back in time to the Middle Ages. The town's historic center is home to several notable landmarks, including the Palazzo dei Priori, a 14th-century palace that now serves as the town hall. You'll also want to visit the Gothic-style Church of Santa Maria della Reggia and the Church of San Francesco, which houses a collection of frescoes dating back to the 14th century.
Beyond the town's historic center, Umbertide is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The Tiber River Valley is a popular spot for hiking and cycling, offering scenic views of the surrounding hills and countryside. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even take a hot air balloon ride over the valley for a truly unforgettable experience.
