Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Kyparissia is a town and a former municipality in northwestern Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trifylia, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 101.018 km2 (39.003 sq mi). The town proper has around 5,000 inhabitants.

Located on the western coast of the Peloponnese peninsula, Kyparissia boasts a picturesque old town, charming beaches, and a vibrant cultural scene. Whether you're looking to explore ancient ruins, unwind on the beach, or indulge in traditional Greek cuisine, Kyparissia offers something for everyone.

One of the town's main attractions is the Kyparissia Castle, a Byzantine fortress dating back to the 13th century. From the top of the castle's walls, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the town and the Ionian Sea. The old town itself is a maze of narrow streets and alleyways lined with colorful buildings, traditional tavernas, and local shops selling handmade crafts and souvenirs.
