Lobatse is a town in south-eastern Botswana, 70 kilometres south of the capital Gaborone, situated in a valley running north towards Gaborone and on the border with South Africa. Lobatse has a population of 29,772 as of 2022. The town is an administrative district, with a town council.

As you arrive in Lobatse, you'll be greeted by the warm hospitality of the local people. This small town has a rich history, and you'll find plenty of interesting sites to explore. One of the most notable attractions is the Lobatse Town Hall, a stunning building that dates back to the 1930s. The Town Hall is an excellent example of colonial architecture, and you'll be amazed by the intricate details of the building.

Another must-visit site in Lobatse is the Botswana Meat Commission, which is the largest meat processing plant in the country. Here, you'll get to see how the meat is processed and learn about the importance of the meat industry to the local economy. If you're lucky, you might even get to taste some of the delicious beef that Lobatse is known for.
