Lagos, or Lagos City, is a large metropolitan port city in southwestern Nigeria. As of November 2025, the size of the city's population has been estimated to be between 17 and 21 million residents, making Lagos the largest city in Nigeria, the most populous urban area on the African continent, and one of the fastest-growing megacities in the world.

As the largest city in Nigeria and the economic hub of West Africa, Lagos is a melting pot of cultures and traditions. Its history can be traced back to the 15th century when it was a small fishing village, but today it is a thriving metropolis with a population of over 21 million people.

One of the most iconic landmarks in Lagos is the Third Mainland Bridge, which connects the city to the mainland. It is the longest bridge in Africa and offers stunning views of the Lagos lagoon. Another must-visit destination is the National Museum, which showcases the country's rich cultural heritage and history.
