Orchha fou un estat tributari protegit a l'agència del Bundelkhand amb una superfície de 5.387 km². A part del nucli central de l'estat, governava una pargana aïllada anomenada Paharpur als dominis del nizam d'Hyderabad prop d'Aurangabad, concedida pels emperadors. La capital inicial era Orchha (ciutat), que va donar nom a l'estat, però el 1783 fou traslladada a Tehri o Tikamgarh.
