Calpe, in Spanish, officially in Valencian Calp, is a coastal town and municipality located in the comarca of Marina Alta, in the province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain, by the Mediterranean Sea. It has an area of 23.5 km2 (9.1 sq mi) and a population density of 990 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,600/sq mi). The city lies at the foot of the Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park. In 2022 the population was 24,096 inhabitants.

Located on the Costa Blanca, Calpe is a small town with a rich history and a stunning coastline. The town is dominated by the imposing rock of Ifach, which stands at over 300 meters tall and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The town's history is evident in its architecture, with the old town featuring narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and a beautiful 15th-century church.

But Calpe isn't just about history - the town is also home to some of the best beaches in the area. The main beach, Playa de la Fossa, is a long stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. There are also several smaller coves and beaches to explore, each with its own unique charm.
