Discover Cape Canaveral

Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Cape Canaveral is a cape in Brevard County, Florida, in the United States, near the center of the state's Atlantic coast. Officially Cape Kennedy from 1963 to 1973, Cape Canaveral is situated east of Merritt Island, and is separated from it by the Banana River. It is considered part of what is known as the Space Coast, and is the site of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Since many U.S. spacecraft have been launched from both the station and the Kennedy Space Center on adjacent Merritt Island, the two are sometimes conflated.

Cape Canaveral is famous for its stunning beaches, picturesque landscapes, and rich history. The area is also home to the Kennedy Space Center, a world-renowned complex that serves as NASA's primary launch site for human spaceflight missions.

If you're a fan of space exploration and rocket launches, Cape Canaveral is the perfect destination for YOU. You can witness the magic of space travel up close by taking a tour of the Kennedy Space Center. The tour includes a visit to the rocket garden, space shuttle Atlantis exhibit, and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you can see the largest rocket ever launched.
