Cala Gonone is an Italian seaside town and a civil parish (frazione) of the municipality (comune) of Dorgali, Province of Nuoro, in the region of Sardinia. In 2007 it had 1,279 inhabitants.
As you make your way into the town, you'll be greeted by charming buildings adorned with brightly colored shutters and flower-filled balconies. The town's main attraction is its stunning beaches, which are some of the most beautiful in the world. From the white sands of Cala Luna to the sheltered cove of Cala Fuili, there's a beach to suit every taste.
But Cala Gonone isn't just about sun, sand, and sea. The town is also home to a range of cultural and historical attractions. For example, you can visit the Nuragic Village of Serra Orrios, which dates back to the Bronze Age, or explore the Grotta del Bue Marino, a vast network of caves that were once used by smugglers.
