Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Pozzillo Lake is a lake in the Province of Enna, Sicily, southern Italy. Located in the Erean Mountains, it is the largest artificial basin in the island. The lake is located mostly in the comune of Regalbuto, but also partially in Agira. The lake was formed when a dam was built in 1959 at the north eastern end of the lake.

As you explore Pozzillo, you will be greeted with a picturesque landscape that seamlessly blends the sea and the mountains. The crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or just lounging on the beach. You can also take a leisurely stroll along the coastline and soak in the stunning views of the sea and the volcanic Mount Etna.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Pozzillo is its rich history and culture. The village is home to several ancient ruins and artifacts that date back to the Roman era. You can visit the ruins of the Roman baths and the ancient harbor to get a glimpse of the village's past. Pozzillo is also known for its vibrant fishing culture, and you can witness the locals in action as they bring in their daily catch.
