Castaway Resort Koh Lipe

Ko Lipe is a small island in the Adang-Rawi Archipelago of the Strait of Malacca, in Satun Province of southwest Thailand, close to the Malaysian border. Its Thai name, the corrupted form of the original Malay name, Pulau Nipis is also transliterated into English as "Koh Lipe", "Koh Lipeh", and "Ko Lipey".

As soon as you step foot on Ko Lipe, you'll be entranced by the island's beauty. The island is home to three main beaches, each offering a different atmosphere. Pattaya Beach is the most popular and busiest, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops lining the shore. Sunrise Beach, located on the opposite side of the island, is quieter and more secluded, perfect for those looking for some peace and quiet. Sunset Beach, as you may have guessed, offers an incredible view of the sunset and is a great spot to unwind with a cocktail in hand.

One of the highlights of Ko Lipe is its incredible snorkeling and diving opportunities. The island is surrounded by coral reefs, which are home to a diverse array of marine life. You can rent snorkeling gear and explore the reefs on your own, or take a guided tour and learn more about the different species you'll see. If you're a more experienced diver, there are plenty of diving schools on the island offering certification courses and guided dives.
