Discover Blacé

Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Blacé is a commune of the Rhône department in eastern France. It was the retirement home of Adolphe Valette.

As soon as you arrive in Blacé, you'll be struck by the beauty of the place. The village is surrounded by rolling hills covered in vineyards, and there are plenty of walking trails where you can soak up the stunning scenery. Make sure you take a stroll through the village itself, too - the narrow streets are lined with traditional stone houses and there are several pretty squares where you can stop for a coffee or a glass of wine.

Speaking of wine, Blacé is located in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, and there are plenty of opportunities to sample the local produce. You can visit one of the many vineyards in the area for a tasting session, or simply head to one of the local bars or restaurants to try some of the wines by the glass. We recommend trying a glass of the famous Beaujolais Nouveau, which is released on the third Thursday of November each year.
