Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Breda is a city and municipality in the southern part of the Netherlands, located in the province of North Brabant. The name derived from brede Aa and refers to the confluence of the rivers Mark and Aa. Breda has 185,072 inhabitants on 13 September 2022 and is part of the Brabantse Stedenrij; it is the tenth largest city/municipality in the country, and the third largest in North Brabant after Eindhoven and Tilburg. It is equidistant from Rotterdam and Antwerp.

As you wander through the city's streets, you'll notice the stunning architecture that surrounds you. Breda is home to a number of impressive buildings, including the Grote Kerk, a beautiful gothic church that dates back to the 15th century. You'll also find the Castle of Breda, a former residence of the Dutch Royal Family, which has now been converted into a military academy.

If you're interested in art, Breda won't disappoint. The city is home to a number of museums and galleries, including the Stedelijk Museum Breda, which showcases contemporary art and design. For something a little different, head to the Blind Walls Gallery, an outdoor art project that brings the city's walls to life with colorful murals and street art.
