Coundon House 1

Coventry is a cathedral city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands county, in England, on the River Sherbourne. Coventry had been a large settlement for centuries. Founded in the early Middle Ages, its city status was formally recognised in a charter of 1345. The city is governed by Coventry City Council, and the West Midlands Combined Authority.

One of the main attractions of Coventry is its rich history. The city was heavily bombed during World War II, but it has since been rebuilt and is now home to some of the most impressive medieval architecture in the country. For example, the Coventry Cathedral is a must-visit for anyone interested in history and architecture. It was destroyed during the war and later rebuilt in a modernist style, making it a unique blend of old and new.

But Coventry is not just about history. It is also a great place for shopping, with plenty of high street stores and independent boutiques to explore. The city is also home to some fantastic restaurants and cafes, serving up delicious food from all over the world. If you are a fan of street food, then you will love the Coventry Street Food market, which takes place every Friday and Saturday.
