Godshill is a village and civil parish on the Isle of Wight, England, with a population of 1,459 at the 2011 Census. It lies between Newport and Ventnor in the southeast of the island.
As you wander through the village, you'll be transported back in time with its quaint thatched-roof cottages and traditional tearooms. One of the village's main attractions is the All Saints Church, a beautiful medieval church that dates back to the 14th century. Its unique striped tower is a sight to behold and is said to have been inspired by a similar tower in Italy.
For those interested in history, the Model Village is a must-visit. This 1/10 scale replica of the village is incredibly detailed and has been a popular attraction since it opened in 1952. The village also boasts a number of independent shops and galleries, selling everything from handmade pottery to locally sourced food and drink.
