Marvão, officially the Very Noble and Ever Loyal Town of Marvão, is a municipality in Portalegre District in Portugal. The population in 2020 was 2,972, in an area of 154.90 km2. The present Mayor is Luís Vitorino, elected by the Social Democratic Party. The municipal holiday is September 8.

As you explore this quaint town, you will be transported back in time as you wander through its cobbled streets and admire the traditional whitewashed houses that line them. One of the most striking features of Marvão is the Castle of Marvão, which stands proud and tall at the highest point of the town. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, which is a breathtaking sight to behold.

Aside from its historical landmarks, Marvão is also known for its delicious cuisine, which features traditional dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients. Be sure to try the famous 'cozido' stew, which is a hearty and comforting meal that is perfect for colder days.
