Glengarriff is a village of approximately 200 people on the N71 national secondary road in the Beara Peninsula of County Cork, Ireland. Known internationally as a tourism venue, it has a number of natural attractions. It sits at the northern head of Glengarriff Bay, a smaller enclave of Bantry Bay.
Nestled on the coast of County Cork, Glengarriff is a charming village that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality. As soon as WE arrived, WE were struck by the stunning landscape that surrounded us. From the majestic mountains to the sparkling sea, every inch of Glengarriff seemed to be bathed in a soft, golden light that made everything look almost surreal.
One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the famous Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve. This lush, verdant forest is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, and WE spent hours wandering along the winding paths and listening to the sounds of the birds and animals that called this place home. The reserve is also home to a stunning waterfall that tumbles down from the mountains and into a crystal-clear pool below - a sight that's sure to take your breath away.
