Bratislava is the capital and largest city of Slovakia and the fourth largest of all cities on the river Danube. Officially, the population of the city proper is about 479,000, with the wider Bratislava Region exceeding 732,000 inhabitants. The metropolitan area has a population of approximately 1.3 million.

As you walk through the streets of Bratislava, you'll be transported back in time to a period of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. The Old Town is a maze of cobbled streets and colorful buildings, with the iconic Bratislava Castle towering over the city. The castle was once a residence for kings and queens, and now offers panoramic views of the Danube River and the city below.
