Taghazout is a small Berber fishing village 19 km (12 mi) north of the city of Agadir in southwestern Morocco. The inhabitants are mostly of Berber origin. Fishing, tourism, and the production of Argan oil being the main source of income. In recent years, tourism has been increasing in importance to the local economy and it is a popular surfing destination.

Located just 20 kilometers north of Agadir, Taghazout boasts some of the best waves in the world. Surfers from all over the globe flock to this village to catch a ride on the famous Anchor Point or explore the numerous other surf spots in the area. But even if surfing isn't your thing, there's still plenty to do in Taghazout.

The village is surrounded by stunning landscapes, with the Atlas Mountains in the background and the Atlantic Ocean stretching out in front.
