Gratteri is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, in the Italian region of Sicily, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southeast of Palermo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,050 and an area of 38.4 square kilometres (14.8 mi2).
Gratteri is a small village with a population of just over 1,000 people, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in beauty and history. The village is situated on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.
