Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Rudston is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated between Driffield and Bridlington approximately 6 miles west of Bridlington, and lies on the B1253 road. The Gypsey Race runs through the village, which lies in the Great Wold Valley. There are a number of Neolithic sites associated with the stream and its valley. It is the current Seat of the Clan Macdonald of Sleat, the head of the family, Godfrey Macdonald, 8th Baron Macdonald, residing at Thorpe Hall.

As you wander through the village, you'll be struck by the sense of history that permeates every corner. Rudston is home to the largest monolith in Britain, standing at an impressive 26 feet tall. This ancient standing stone is thought to date all the way back to the Neolithic period, and it's a truly awe-inspiring sight to behold.

But the monolith isn't the only historical landmark that Rudston has to offer. The village is also home to the beautiful All Saints Church, which dates back to the 12th century. This stunning building boasts a plethora of fascinating architectural features, including a medieval font and a beautifully carved oak pulpit.
