Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.
Riposto is a comune (municipality) in the Catania area of southern Italy. The small seafront town is located about 220 kilometres (140 mi) southeast of Palermo and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Catania.
As you wander through the streets of Riposto, you will be transported back in time to the ancient Roman and Greek civilizations that once called this area home. The town's architecture reflects this influence, with the Church of San Pietro and the Palazzo Comunale standing as shining examples of this cultural heritage.
But Riposto is not just a town for history buffs. The stunning waterfront views from the Marina di Riposto will leave you in awe, as you take in the vast expanse of the Ionian Sea. Take a stroll along the port and watch the fishermen unload their daily catch, or enjoy a relaxing day at the nearby beaches of Fondachello and Sant'Anna.
