Garni Birkenheim, located in the centre of Gerlos, offers a spa area and all rooms were renovated in summer 2013 and come with a flat-screnn TV with cable channels. The Isskogelbahn Cable Car Station is within 200 metres.
The spa area comprises a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin and an indoor swimming pool with a counter current system.
All Birkenheim rooms come with mountain views, free WiFi and a bathroom with free toiletries. A breakfast buffet is available every morning.
During summer, free guided hiking tours are organised and the property also comes with a ski storage room and a ski boot dryer. A restaurant can be found next to the property and a supermarket is within 50 metres. A swimming lake is 4 km away and private parking is possible at Garni Birkenheim.

Gerlos is a municipality with 793 inhabitants in Schwaz district of the Austrian state of Tyrol. The village is popular with skiing tourists, mainly families, as there is easy access to Zillertal Arena Centre on Isskogel. The village lies in the Zell am Ziller judicial district.
