This elegant medieval manor house has 3 acres of walled gardens, and is located just off the A14, 3 miles from Stowmarket. The ancient village of Haughley has been listed as a site of national importance by English Heritage.

Home-grown vegetables, fruits from the orchard, and eggs from Haughley House’s own hens are used to prepare delicious breakfasts. High-quality local meats are used to prepare evening meals, and the menu also includes homemade canapés.

Guests can enjoy drinks in the oak-panelled drawing room or the cosy sitting room. Afternoon tea is available either inside or in the pretty garden, where there is also a croquet lawn that you are free to use.

Rooms are in the oldest part of Haughley House, and all benefit from free Wi-Fi, an en suite bathroom and picturesque views. A TV and tea and coffee making facilities can be provided if you wish.

Stowmarket is a market town and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk, England, on the A14 trunk road between Bury St Edmunds to the west and Ipswich to the southeast. The town lies on the Great Eastern Main Line (GEML) between Diss and Needham Market, and lies on the River Gipping, which is joined by its tributary, the River Rat, to the south of the town.
