Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Hiroshima is the capital of Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan. As of June 1, 2019, the city had an estimated population of 1,199,391. The gross domestic product (GDP) in Greater Hiroshima, Hiroshima Urban Employment Area, was US$61.3 billion as of 2010. Kazumi Matsui has been the city's mayor since April 2011. The Hiroshima metropolitan area is the second largest urban area in the Chugoku Region of Japan, following the Okayama metropolitan area.

Hiroshima is located on the western side of Honshu, Japan's main island. It's a bustling city with a population of over 1 million people, making it the largest city in the Chugoku region. While the city has a modern vibe with skyscrapers, shopping centers, and entertainment venues, the past is still very much present in the form of memorials and museums that pay homage to the events of August 6th, 1945.

One of the most striking sights in Hiroshima is the Atomic Bomb Dome. This building was one of the few structures left standing after the bomb was dropped, and now serves as a reminder of the devastation that occurred. The Peace Memorial Park is another must-visit spot. This expansive park features several monuments and memorials, including the Children's Peace Monument and the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims.
