Discover Qingdao

Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Qingdao, previously transliterated as Tsingtao, is a prefecture-level city in China's Shandong province. Lying across the Shandong Peninsula and looking out to the Yellow Sea, it borders the prefecture-level cities of Yantai to the northeast, Weifang to the west, and Rizhao to the southwest. The Jiaozhou Bay Bridge links Qingdao's main urban area with Huangdao district, straddling Jiaozhou Bay.

Nestled on the eastern coast of China, Qingdao is a popular destination known for its stunning beaches, historic architecture, and delicious seafood. The city is a hub for both business and tourism, with a bustling port and a thriving economy. With a population of over 9 million, Qingdao is also one of the largest cities in the Shandong province.

One of the city's most famous landmarks is the Zhan Qiao Pier, a historic pier that stretches out into the sea and offers stunning views of the city skyline. Another must-see attraction is the Qingdao Beer Museum, which tells the story of China's brewing history and offers visitors a chance to sample some of the local brews.
