Fano is a coastal city and comune of the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region of Italy located 12 kilometres southeast of Pesaro at the point where the Via Flaminia reaches the Adriatic Sea. As of 2021, it has a population of approximately 59,000, smaller than Ancona and Pesaro.

As WE explore Fano, YOU will discover a place rich in history and culture, with medieval buildings and narrow streets that will transport YOU back in time. The town's main attraction is the Arch of Augustus, a well-preserved Roman triumphal arch that was built in 9 AD to celebrate the Roman emperor's victory over the Illyrians. Other historical sites worth visiting include the Malatesta Fortress, a 15th-century castle that now houses a museum, and the Church of Santa Maria Nuova, a beautiful Gothic-style church that dates back to the 12th century.

But Fano is not just about history. The town's long sandy beach, which stretches for over 7 km, is perfect for a day of sunbathing or swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. There are also plenty of opportunities for water sports such as windsurfing, kite surfing, and sailing. If YOU prefer to stay on land, the town's picturesque harbor is a great place to take a stroll and watch the fishing boats come and go.
