Mezzocorona, is a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) north of the city of Trento and within 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) of the Südtirol border.
Mezzocorona is a town steeped in history and tradition, with roots dating back to the Roman era. The town's most famous landmark is the Castel Firmiano, a 13th-century castle that sits atop a hill overlooking the town. The castle is now home to the Museum of Contemporary Art, which features works by some of Italy's most renowned artists.
But the town's real charm lies in its quaint streets and picturesque buildings. The town center is filled with cozy cafes, artisan shops, and local restaurants serving up delicious traditional cuisine.
