Talloires is a former commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Talloires-Montmin. Due to its setting on Lake Annecy Talloires has become a popular resort town, not only since it has been rediscovered by a privileged society of artists and writers but also since the start of the 20th century when the place became a destination.

The village is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Annecy, one of the most stunning lakes in Europe. The crystal-clear waters of the lake are surrounded by lush green hills and snow-capped peaks, creating a breathtaking landscape that will leave YOU in awe. The village itself is a maze of cobbled streets, historic buildings, and quaint cafes, all set against the stunning backdrop of the lake and mountains.

One of the highlights of Talloires is its rich history. The village dates back to the Middle Ages and is steeped in fascinating stories and legends. The Gothic-style 11th-century church of Saint-Maurice is a must-see for history buffs, while the Chateau de Duingt, a medieval castle situated on a small island in the lake, is a unique and unforgettable sight.
