Como is a city and commune in Lombardy, Italy. It is the administrative capital of the Province of Como.
As you wander through the narrow streets of Como, you'll be transported back in time. The town has a long and storied past, dating back to Roman times, and this is reflected in its architecture and landmarks. The Cathedral of Como is a must-see, with its Gothic façade and intricate carvings, while the 14th-century Broletto Palace is a testament to the town's medieval heritage.
But Como isn't just a town for history buffs. It's also a hub of contemporary culture, with a thriving arts scene and plenty of trendy bars and restaurants. The Tempio Voltiano is a fascinating museum devoted to the life and work of Alessandro Volta, the inventor of the electric battery. Meanwhile, the Piazza Cavour is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, with its lively atmosphere and stunning views of the lake.
