Hotel Sacbe Coba

Coba is an ancient Maya city on the Yucatán Peninsula, located in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The site is the nexus of the largest network of stone causeways of the ancient Maya world, and it contains many engraved and sculpted stelae that document ceremonial life and important events of the Late Classic Period of Mesoamerican civilization. The adjacent modern village bearing the same name, reported a population of 1,278 inhabitants in the 2010 Mexican federal census.

Cobá is located in the Yucatan Peninsula and boasts some of the most well-preserved Mayan ruins in Mexico. The ancient city was once a major hub for trade and commerce, and today, you can explore the remains of the grand temples, pyramids, and other structures that were once a part of this bustling metropolis.

One of the highlights of visiting Cobá is climbing the Nohoch Mul Pyramid, the tallest Mayan structure in the Yucatan Peninsula. The climb to the top is steep and can be challenging, but the views from the summit are absolutely breathtaking. From the top, you can see the lush jungle that surrounds the site and get a sense of just how grand and impressive the ancient city must have been at its height.
