Mogarraz is a municipality located in the province of Salamanca, Castile and León, Spain. As of 2016 the municipality has a population of 309 inhabitants.

If you're looking for a charming Spanish village to explore, Mogarraz should be at the top of your list. Tucked away in the province of Salamanca, this town is a hidden gem that's full of history, culture, and natural beauty. WE can't wait to share more about this picturesque locale with YOU.

Mogarraz is a small but mighty town that's packed with character. One of its most distinctive features is the way that the houses are painted. Over 400 years ago, the residents of Mogarraz were required to register their homes with the church. As a result, each house has a number painted on the facade. In the 1960s, a local artist named Florencio Maíllo had the idea to paint portraits of the current residents on the walls, and the tradition has continued ever since. Walking through the streets of Mogarraz feels like stepping back in time, and the colorful portraits make it an even more memorable experience.
