Once the capital of the ancient Khorezmian empire, Urganch boasts a rich heritage that dates back to the 6th century BC. Another must-see attraction is the Juma Mosque, a 10th-century masterpiece that has been meticulously preserved over the centuries.
In addition to its historical landmarks, Urganch is also known for its vibrant bazaars, where you can shop for everything from traditional textiles and ceramics to spices and fresh produce. Don't forget to try some of the local cuisine, which is a delightful blend of Uzbek, Persian, and Russian influences.
