Višegrad is a town and municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It rests at the confluence of the Drina and the Rzav river. As of 2013, the municipality has a population of 10,668 inhabitants, while the town of Višegrad has a population of 5,869 inhabitants.

As WE explore Visegrád, YOU will be transported back in time to the medieval era, where castles, knights, and kings ruled the land. One of the most iconic attractions in Visegrád is the Visegrád Castle, which was built in the 14th century and served as a royal residence for many years. From the top of the castle, YOU can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Danube River and the surrounding hills.

But the castle isn't the only historical landmark in Visegrád. WE highly recommend visiting the Royal Palace Ruins, which was once a grand palace that hosted many important events and meetings between kings and emperors. Today, YOU can still see the remnants of the palace, including the impressive Gothic-style portal.
