Hout & About Guest House

Hout Bay is a seaside and harbour town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated in a valley of the Cape Peninsula, and is part of the City of Cape Town metro area. The name "Hout Bay" can refer to the town, the bay on which it is situated, or the entire valley.

One of the highlights of Hout Bay is its beautiful beach. With white sand and clear water, it's the perfect spot for a day of relaxation. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at surfing or stand-up paddling. The beach also serves as a starting point for boat trips to the nearby Seal Island, where you can see hundreds of seals lounging on the rocks.

Foodies will love the Hout Bay Market, which takes place every weekend. Here you can find local delicacies like biltong, boerewors, and koeksisters, as well as artisanal crafts and live music. For a more upscale dining experience, try one of the seafood restaurants along the harbour, where you can enjoy fresh catches of the day while watching the boats come in.
