ウィンダミア は、イングランド・カンブリアのサウス・レイクランド地区にあるタウンおよび行政教区である。人口は8,245人でウィンダミア湖から約半マイル (1km) 離れている。そのため、この街は湖に接しているわけではないが（地名の由来は鉄道が1847年に建設され、その時の駅が「ウィンダミア」と呼ばれたことによる）現在ではより古い湖畔の街であるボウネス＝オン＝ウィンダミアと共に成長し、2つの区別できる街中心部として維持している。博物館が数カ所あるが、主要な観光スポットはボウネスに接する丘のふもとにある湖であり（ウィンダミアの街にある一番高い地点から歩いて約20分）、美しい山々を見ることができる。ボウネスにある桟橋を発着点に湖中を回る船はアンブルサイドや再敷設された鉄道があるレイクサイドに立ち寄ることが多い。
