Chiari è un comune italiano di 19 776 abitanti della provincia di Brescia in Lombardia. Geograficamente è situato nella pianura della Bassa Bresciana occidentale, a ridosso del fiume Oglio. Nel territorio si è svolta la sanguinosa battaglia di Chiari, avvenuta nel 1701, tra le truppe francesi contro quelle austriache durante la Guerra di successione spagnola, con l'intento di impossessarsi del Ducato di Milano.
