Falkirk is a town in the Central Lowlands of Scotland, historically within the county of Stirlingshire. It lies in the Forth Valley, 23+1⁄2 miles northwest of Edinburgh and 20+1⁄2 miles (33 km) northeast of Glasgow.

One of the most iconic attractions in Falkirk is the Falkirk Wheel. This incredible piece of engineering is the world's only rotating boat lift, and it's a must-see for anyone visiting the area. You can take a boat trip on the wheel and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Another popular landmark is the Kelpies, two giant horse sculptures that stand at 30 meters high. These impressive works of art pay homage to the horses that powered Scotland's industrial past.

If you're interested in history, then Falkirk won't disappoint. The area is home to the ruins of the Roman Antonine Wall, which was built in the 2nd century AD to mark the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire. You can also visit the impressive Callendar House, a 14th-century mansion that has been restored and turned into a museum. Here, you can learn about the history of the area, from the Roman occupation to the industrial revolution.
