Benin City is the capital and largest city of Edo State, southern Nigeria. It is the fourth-largest city in Nigeria according to the 2006 census, after Lagos, Kano, and Ibadan. Benin City comprises three local government areas; Egor, Ikpoba-Okha and Oredo with some parts extending into the Ovia North-East and Uhunmwonde LGAs.

Located in the heart of Edo State, Benin City is known for its royal heritage, as it was once the capital of the ancient Benin Kingdom. Today, it's a bustling metropolis that's home to over a million people and is a hub for trade, commerce, and tourism in the region.

One of the top attractions in Benin City is the Oba's Palace, a magnificent complex of buildings that's been the residence of the Benin monarchs for over 800 years. Here, you can explore the ornate courtyards, halls, and shrines that are adorned with intricate carvings, murals, and artifacts that showcase the kingdom's artistry and spirituality.
