Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Antrain is a former commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany in northwestern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Val-Couesnon. Château de Bonnefontaine dates to the second quarter of the 16th century.

First settled in the 5th century, Antrain has been a hub of activity throughout the centuries. From the medieval period to the French Revolution, the town has played an important role in the region's history. Today, you can still see remnants of its past in the town's architecture, including the beautiful Church of Saint-André, which dates back to the 12th century.

One of the town's main attractions is the Château de la Ballue. This stunning castle was built in the 17th century and boasts beautiful gardens that are open to visitors. You can also take a guided tour of the castle's interior, where you'll learn about its fascinating history and see some of its original furnishings.
