The town is surrounded by stunning landscapes, including the stunning Ben Vrackie Mountain, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. One of the main attractions in Pitlochry is the famous Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder. This engineering marvel was built in the 1950s to harness the power of the River Tummel, and it now generates electricity for the local area. The fish ladder was added to allow salmon to swim upstream to their spawning grounds, and it's fascinating to watch the fish jumping up the steps.
