L'Ecume des Jours

Soulac-sur-Mer, commonly known as Soulac (Solac), is a commune in the department of Gironde, administrative region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. It is a seaside resort on the Côte d'Argent, on the peninsula of the Médoc, 12 km from Royan and 86 km from Bordeaux.

As you walk through the streets of Soulac-sur-Mer, you'll be struck by the beautiful Belle-Époque buildings that line the boulevards. Dating back to the late 19th century, these buildings are a testament to the town's history as a popular resort destination for the French bourgeoisie. Take a stroll down the Rue de la Plage, and you'll find yourself surrounded by colorful villas with whimsical turrets and balconies adorned with elaborate ironwork.

The town's main attraction, however, is its stunning beach. Stretching for over 7 kilometers, Soulac-sur-Mer's sandy shoreline is perfect for long walks, sunbathing, and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is also home to numerous beach clubs and restaurants, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or a delicious meal while taking in the breathtaking views.
