Coredo was a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Trento. It was merged with Smarano, Taio, Tres and Vervò on January 1, 2015, to form a new municipality, Predaia.
Coredo is a small village that has retained its traditional Alpine style and hospitality. The town is situated in the Non Valley, a picturesque area known for its apple orchards, hiking trails, and ski slopes. The Non Valley is also home to several lakes and rivers, making it a perfect destination for water sports enthusiasts.
One of the main attractions of Coredo is the Sanctuary of San Romedio. This unique church is built into a rocky cliff and can only be reached by climbing a steep staircase. The sanctuary is dedicated to Saint Romedius, a hermit who lived in a nearby cave during the early Middle Ages. The interior of the church is decorated with beautiful frescoes and carvings, making it a must-see for art lovers.
