La Maison d'Aix

Aix-en-Provence, often known as simply Aix, is a city and commune in southern France, about 30 km (20 mi) north of Marseille. A former capital of Provence, it is the subprefecture of the arrondissement of Aix-en-Provence, in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône, in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The population of Aix-en-Provence is approximately 148,000. Its inhabitants are called Aixois or, less commonly, Aquisextains.

As you wander through the winding streets of Aix-en-Provence, you'll be transported back in time to the 17th and 18th centuries. The city is dotted with stunning architecture, including numerous fountains, grand mansions, and impressive churches. Make sure to take a stroll through the Old Town, which is the historical heart of the city. Here, you'll find narrow, cobbled streets lined with colorful buildings, quaint cafes, and boutique shops.

One of the highlights of Aix-en-Provence is the Cours Mirabeau, a wide and elegant boulevard that is lined with plane trees. This picturesque street is home to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Fontaine de la Rotonde and the famous Cafe de Flore.
