Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Roccastrada is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Grosseto in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) south of Florence and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of Grosseto, between the Maremma plain and the Colline Metallifere.

As you make your way through the winding streets of Roccastrada, you'll be struck by the beauty of the medieval architecture, which has been carefully preserved and maintained throughout the centuries. The town's main attraction is the imposing Rocca Aldobrandesca, a fortress that dates back to the 13th century and is perched atop a hill overlooking the town. From here, you'll have panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Tyrrhenian Sea in the distance.

For history buffs, there are plenty of other sites to explore in Roccastrada, including the Church of San Niccolò, which dates back to the 12th century and is home to a number of important works of art. The town's museum is also worth a visit, as it houses a collection of archeological finds from the area and gives a fascinating insight into the region's rich history.
