Busselton is a city in the South West region of the state of Western Australia approximately 220 km (140 mi) south-west of Perth. Busselton has a long history as a popular holiday destination for Western Australians; however, the closure of the Busselton Port in 1972 and the contemporaneous establishment of the nearby Margaret River wine region have seen tourism become the dominant source of investment and development, supplemented by services and retail. The city is best known for the Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.

One of the town's most famous attractions is the Busselton Jetty, which stretches for almost two kilometers and is one of the longest jetties in the world. You can take a leisurely stroll or a train ride along the jetty, enjoying stunning views of the Indian Ocean and the town's coastline. At the end of the jetty, you can visit the Underwater Observatory, where you can descend eight meters below sea level and admire colorful coral, fish, and other marine life.

If you're interested in history, you'll appreciate Busselton's heritage buildings, such as the Busselton Museum, the historic courthouse, and the St Mary's Anglican Church. You can also visit the Wonnerup House, a 19th-century farmhouse that showcases the early colonial life in the area.
