Locanda Del Re

Feltre is a town and comune of the province of Belluno in Veneto, northern Italy. A hill town in the southern reaches of the province, it is located on the Stizzon River, about 4 kilometres from its junction with the Piave, and 20 km (12 mi) southwest from Belluno. The Dolomites loom to the north of the town.

As you wander through Feltre's winding streets, you'll feel as though you've stepped back in time. The town's medieval architecture is impeccably preserved, with towering bell towers, grand palaces, and narrow alleys that lead to hidden courtyards. One must-see attraction is the Castello di Alboino, a 12th-century castle that sits perched on a hill overlooking the town.

But Feltre isn't just a feast for the eyes - it's also a foodie's paradise. The town is known for its delicious local cuisine, with hearty dishes like polenta e spezzatino (polenta with beef stew) and frico (a fried cheese and potato dish) gracing menus. Wash it all down with a glass of Prosecco Superiore, made from grapes grown in the nearby hills.
