You'll see buildings that range from the Baroque and Gothic to the Byzantine and Arab-Norman styles. One of the most famous sites in the city is the Palermo Cathedral, which is a stunning example of Norman architecture.

Palermo is also known for its bustling street markets, where you can find everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts. The Vucciria Market is one of the most popular, and it's the perfect place to sample some of the local street food.
