Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Dawlish is a seaside resort town and civil parish in the Teignbridge district of Devon, England. It is located on the south coast, 12 miles (19 km) south of the city of Exeter and a similar distance from the town of Torquay. At the 2021 census, it had a population of 15,257, which was 16% more than the 13,161 recorded in 2011. Dawlish had grown in the 18th century from a small fishing port into a seaside resort, as had its near neighbour, Teignmouth, in the 19th century.

Nestled on the coast of Devon, Dawlish boasts stunning sandy beaches, picturesque coastal walks, and a rich history dating back to the Roman times. The town's most famous attraction is the Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve, a stunning area of sand dunes and estuaries that is home to a diverse range of wildlife including rare species of birds and butterflies.

In addition to its natural beauty, Dawlish is also home to a number of historical landmarks, including the iconic Dawlish Railway Station, which is renowned for its stunning architecture and picturesque sea views. The town's history is also evident in its many museums and galleries, which offer a fascinating glimpse into the area's past.
