Hochrindl is a mountain pass and alpine ski resort in the Austrian Alps located between Reichenau and Albeck. The pass was largely uninhabited and used as pasture land until the late 20th century when it became a location for summer and winter tourism.
At an altitude of 1600 meters, Hochrindl offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You can take a leisurely hike through the lush green forests and meadows, or challenge yourself to a more strenuous climb up the mountain peaks. The area is also popular for skiing and snowboarding in the winter months, with over 20 kilometers of slopes and trails.
For those looking for a more relaxed experience, Hochrindl has a variety of restaurants and cafes that offer traditional Austrian cuisine and drinks. You can also take a dip in the nearby Lake Ossiach, which is known for its crystal-clear waters and scenic surroundings.
